Propaganda is an image or message that targets current events. It is used as an artist or designer’s weapon to twist the public’s opinions or emotions concerning that topic. The point is to try and persuade people to accept and agree with whatever it is portraying. The things shown in propaganda are always changing, as well as the style used to show it, but it has been used for quite some time to influence people’s feelings.
Right now, a lot of the propaganda in the media is centered around the war that is going on in Iraq. Many, like this one, attack the president for causing an unnecessary conflict.

Often, they are working in the paid service of the state and in the past, may not have even agreed with the statements their artwork has made.
