Watch these videos and you are watching a form of political propaganda. Now I am not saying I have anything agents the military because I don’t, but come on. What doses the first one show you? Yes it is an ad for the Air Force but they show you a guy in front of a computer screen. Now I have no idea how advanced technology that the government is using is because I do not work for them. But to me this guy looks like if he is playing a videogame. I have no idea what the program he was using dose that’s just what it looked like to me. The music video by 3doors down is another form of political propaganda. It is a tribute to the men and women of the National Guard. Now even though this is a music video it is more true to what life in the military is like now then the ad for the Air Force. Granted it is a different branch of the military but at least it shows you some of what is expected of you. What the normal ads on TV do not tell you is that when you join with the current situation there is about a 90% chance that you will be going to the Middle East. Why do they not tell you that on their TV ads? That is something I do not understand. Something else I do not understand is why the current administration has decided to shield us from the so called casualties of war. Why is it the military is allowed to show you only one possible aspect of military life and the news can no longer air footage of the fallen solders coming home. That I do not understand.

Both of these ads reveal who the target audience is: boys of a certain age. In fact, they first aired the Three Doors Down video before the new Transformers film, once again, clearly targeting its market.
