What are the differences between fine art and graphic design? Both graphic design and fine art are creative fields that can inspire ones emotions. Both use the formal elements, principles and techniques of line, shape, color, value and texture in their designs. Fine artists are skilled in traditional art media such as drawing and painting. Sculpture, dance, and performing arts are also considered as fine art. Graphic design is more a process of communicating through the use of visual information. Graphic designers work on computers with various programs and need to know about typography, layout, design, graphics and art. Graphic design is used in advertising, education, entrainment, journalism, and web. It is a way of communicating that everyone depends on today. It is everywhere that we look. Graphic design helps us to know where we are and where we are going. We would be lost without the use of graphic design today.
