"Art Stars" & "Masters"

The Catholic Church used artwork as a way of communicating with God. Based off commission from the churches, "Art Stars" and "Masters" during the Renaissance and Baroque periods like Michelangelo, Da Vinci, and Caravaggio created great art work. The "Masters" art work was used in the church and seen by many which helped make the Catholic Church more known along with the artists who created the Masterpieces. For example, Michelangelo’s painting of the Sistine Chapel and Da Vinci’s painting of the Mona Lisa.
I believe that there are many artistic "Masters" today just in a different form. Now day’s art is not just paintings and sculptors it’s more tech savvy with the use of graphic art and the use of photo shop. Art is photography too along with the good old use of paint and sculptors. Dorothea Lange, a photographer who captured the hearts of many Americans and people around the world with her photographs of the Great Depression. Georgia O’Keeffe, famous American artist whose work is well known through out the world with her beautiful paintings of flowers, landscapes est.
