Is Less More in Design?

Is Less More in Design?

I will say the answer to this, is in the application of the design! For me as a Graphic Designer the best bet is on the use of limited imagery. Is this will convey the idea at the same time holding a minimum cost to the client and holding a solid visual strength, that will transmit the intended idea. Sometime the use of massive amount of images is need it, to get the viewer in a specific mind set. At this time the combination of images and color, (contrast) will have to be the one in control of the piece, to make it scream out and blind your viewer, lol! Well is all come down to likes and dislike and what the client wants and what they need. Some clients have no idea of what they need. They think that what they see in their head because is could be maybe what they like. But in reality they have no idea, until the application is brought up to them and they can see it differently. Here is a little picture of Alltel Cellular company and a display of a phone promotion for different colors use. This will give you the idea of how can it be a simply design and work for the company. But at the same time you need to have the illustration of the different colors to show the use of this new phone at the same time to show the proper use. This conclude my opinion about having less can not always be good! Kidding, It’s all in the application of the design…
