Theocratic Government

In theocratic government like everything else there are going to be good things and bad things. One of the things that amperes really good, is that in theory everyone will worship the same god. Yes this would be good but what happens if someone does not want to. Who gets to decide what happens to people that do not want to do everything the states way? That question is one of the main reasons why theocratic governments have a very hard time, because people tend to make the punishments too extreme. On the other hand the rulers of a theocratic government like the fact that they can say that whatever they decide to do is ordained by god. To people that live in this type of government what that means is that whatever the rulers decide to do can never be spoken ageist in any way. What that basically means is people lose their free will. I do not know about anybody else but I would go crazy if someone told me I no longer had an opinion about anything. So in a way the fact that people think that because they can say that everything they do is ordained by god will ultimately lead to the downfall of a theocratic government. People are not stupid they will eventually figure out when they are being lied to.
