What is the future of graphic design?

The future of graphic design is limitless. With the technology we have at our hands today we can do anything, if you are able to dream it, it is at your fingertips. We as designers need to stay imaginative and original and we can create anything. You are limited to your imagination.

In comparison to the beginnings of graphic design, we depend on computers to create our graphics. The designers of long ago did everything by hand. Many of us take our technology for granted. Once computer came into play, I am certain that there were a few that resisted this new change. Others obviously embraced it, considering the demand on computers today. I think the future of graphic design is digitally based.

The world of graphic design will grow, adapt, and of course as always go beyond belief to some viewers. With the technological revolution at our fingertips, we are using some amazing programs such as Adobe CS4 Creative Suite. With Adobes every changing technological advances I am sure we will be using CS2000 before you know it. Computers of course will need to become faster and better with the advancement of software. I am sure by then there will be computer monitors that will take up an entire wall.

Graphic Design is in everything we do in today’s society. Everything from cereal boxes to the logo on your new shoes, it is everywhere. Graphic design is not only cool images but also the text and the whole communication of the item and how we perceive it.
With the high demand for websites, many graphic designers are also proficient in web design as well. This makes the individual a valuable asset to any company. Websites are considered a tool that people have at their fingertips everyday. With the future being so digitally based billboards will look like the current time square but much more chaotic, if you can imagine that. We are just beginning to explore the beginnings of graphic design in an electronic media era. The rules have yet to be written, who knows what the future beholds.
