Romanticism:
Romanticism is a new a different kind of art. With this new art they created death with an erotic sense. Artists came up with using a sense of a night-mare. There paintings were scary, but yet also sexy in a way. They would even use erotic animals in their paintings, but make them killing or something like that. Also sprung into the belief in freedom, the subject into fictional narratives, and the allure of the sprit and about showing strong feelings in any way. You could say that all the artists came up with their own idea or creation of what they thought romanticism was. Then they started painting landscapes. The landscapes would be painted through the any mood that the artist was feeling. Nature or the landscapes were allegories. The Germans expressed nature as a “being.” The English did farms lands that showed the results in the industrial revolution. Last Americans used the by-product of the country side and the expansion of human beings. They used dark and rich colors to bring out the senses in the paintings. They would show murder. Or like the painting “Death of Sardanapalus,” where it was sexy and erotic but there was killing involved. He didn’t want his enemy killing him and getting everything he owned. So he killed and burned everything, then killed him self. It was also shown in the sculptor’s not just paintings. For example, “La Marseillaise” and “Jaguar Devouring a Hare.”
