i believe that all protastant art from this time has roots in Martin Luther. by this i mean that protastant art was a direct reflection of the movement Mr Luther was responsible for. for an example i will give you Albrecht Dürer, friend of Martin Luther and probably the most well known reformation artist. Dürer's illistrations in books and wood prints were all made to give to visual aide to Luther's message. i would think that other artist would do the same, depicting the art in an everyday common setting to make it more appealing to people. eventualy i think that this art would evolve into art more centered on current issues rather than religion.
