What is your policy idea for protecting Iraq’s antiquities during the war?

Art is a kind of map thru our past, its our history, to lose it would be catastrophic which is why it should be treasured and kept safe from damage. Iraq’s antiquities should be honored as such and kept safe from the war. In my opinion Certain measures should be taken to guarantee its safety from the Hostility in Iraq.
One way I purpose in doing this is I would first raise the security in the museums so that they are all well guarded and carefully watched to prevent theft. Also if an agreement could be made, I would purpose that the art be moved to a safer region, as far away from the warfare as possible. However I understand that this may cause arguments, which is why this proposal must be openly discussed to avoid further conflicts. In my opinion I feel that one of the best way to solve this problem would be to let everyone know that if this problem is not fixed than it means a loss of their and our own history forever. However Iraq may not have the resources or the time to concentrate on its antiquities, which is why we should help them, however we should not force our help were it is not wanted otherwise we will only cause more chaos. I think it would be a good idea to gather up a nation wide group of people, to serve as a kind of spokesperson for each region they represent. We then would discuss the problem and we would find a solution that a majority if not all agreed with.
This is a hard solution to solve because some may not think of art as historians do, therefore they may not respect it as they should. However you can not make someone admire and respect art, it is something that can not be taught. However those of us that do treasure art can only try to come up with a way to protect it.
