Renaissance Aesthetic

The Renaissance impacted what art has evolved into over time. The masters of the renaissance, Leonardo Da Vinci, Raphael and Michelangelo created a timeless era in art. Artists started to pay attention to what people looked like because they could study human anatomy to make their art as real as possible. They were now allowed to create art that paid attention to every detail of the human body to make it look as real as possible. They were now allowed to create sculptors and paintings of nude men and woman with out having the pressure of the church telling them not to. The masters created something the human eye had not ever seen in art, something that captured almost like what a camera does for us today in a simple photograph. Art that the masters created are timeless even after all the technology that has been invented their art is still greatly appreciated. I believe we will never stop seeing the art work of the masters because even with technology evolving every year like today you can have Michelangelo’s “Creation of Adam,” the Sistine Chapel as your background on your IPhone. People can now own their own copy of Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and hang it up on their living room wall. I love Renaissance art because it was a time when a new way of thinking was brought about to society. It has impacted the way artists create art today and has even made artists want to create their own master pieces. The paintings and sculptures were so real and glorious that we still teach it to our children today so it may live on and never be forgotten.
