The Affect the Plague had on Artistic Production

Journal #1

Artistic production in the 14th century revolved mostly around religion because during the14th century the Black Death was going on. Which meant people stayed home to try not get the plague and it pretty much put art and science on a stand still. During this time most of the art has something to do with death or religion. The reason for that being is as much as 50 or 60 percent of the population died and people turned to their religion to help them get through this. But after the 14th century we see a dramatic change in art and we see it evolving into what we know art to be today.
