Timeless masters.

I think that the reason artist like Michelangelo and Da Vinci are considered masters in the way anyone is considered a master of their trade. They are purely better then a vast majority. During the Renaissance and Baroque period many people started taking up artistic jobs. With the competition there were sure to be the good and the bad. The very good became masters.
There are still masters of the art today but they are not held so high. Art is very big today and with the help from cameras and computers it’s cheaper and easier to make. Anyone can pick up a camera today and make a professional looking picture. There are Masters today, but it’s just too easy to be good for the masters to be house hold names.
We do have art masters today but I do think they have changed very much. We now have new forms media in which to show and use art. With the camera people no longer have to sit there and paint to get a good still frame picture. Now we have TV so art has moved onto moving pictures. The computer and internet bring some of the biggest forms of art we know of today. People get paid a lot of money to create web pages. Companies pay these artiest to create then recreate web pages over and over again. Then comes my personal favorite, video games. This is one of the most difficult forms of modern art. To make anything good large numbers of people must band together to create a fun game that looks great.
All in all we still have masters. They just aren’t as well known and cover more fields then what your basic Renaissance man does.
